Public Speaking HYPNOSIS

Public speaking hypnosis can help people with a presentation, talk, best man's speech or work meeting anxiety to feel confident and calmer. Speaking to a group of people of any size is one of the most common phobias and fears.
Public speaking is considered to be the act of communicating with a group of people whose number can range from two to tens of thousands. Some people relish the idea of giving a presentation, talk, leading a meeting, giving that wedding speech. These people like to be the center of attention and enjoy getting the chance to perform in front of others.

Speaking to groups for many people is a constant source of anxiety and dread. Public speaking for them it is something to be avoided at all costs.
Typically someone with a speaking phobia or fear will experience an adrenalin rush, heart palpitation, sweating, shaking, a voice that cracks and a loss of memory. A previous bad experience of speaking in public is usually found to be the cause of the current feelings of dread about giving a speech or presentation.
helps a person who suffers from these "fight or flight" feelings to feel calmer and more relaxed. Hypnosis helps to change how a person thinks about public speaking. It helps them to construct positive and successful images of themselves giving a speech to others that are attractive and encouraging rather than one of fear or failure.
It is more often the dread prior to giving the speech that makes it hard for someone to face up to give the presentation.
Some people will feign sickness or even resign from their job because the fear of having to speak in front of others is so overwhelming that they will literally do anything to get out of it. Others will not apply for that new job or promotion because they know the new role will involve taking meetings, giving training or speaking in front of groups. A public speaking phobia can, therefore, limit a persons' career progression.
Fortunately, it can be comforting to know that many people who have suffered from a public speaking fear do get over it. Indeed they can progress to well with feeling confident and calm about giving a speech that they not only look forward to doing it but also start to volunteer to do it.
If you are fed up with suffering from nerves, dread, fears and anxiety from even the thought of speaking in front of others at work, socially or on other occasions, you no longer need to suffer. One of the most effective methods for overcoming your fears and feeling confident is public speaking hypnosis.

A Brief Overview Of HYPNOSIS

Hypnosis is a state in which conscious sleep is induced. The process of hypnosis involves a hypnotist and a subject (a person on whom Hypnosis is performed). The primary requirement for Hypnosis is it must be accepted by the subject. And then under the effect of Hypnosis, the subject is allegedly more recipient to suggestions and has greater access to his or her memories and emotions.

In a nutshell, hypnosis is the sleep of the nervous system. So there is a decrease in the rate of respiration, decrease in blood circulation thus sluggish brain waves. Under the normal consciousness, the brain waves are at Beta wave level. However, with hypnosis, brain waves slow down to alpha waves than to theta waves. Delta waves are brain waves possible in children, & generally, no adult can experience the slowing down to delta wave level.

Use of Hypnosis has been applied from the clinic to classroom and police station to any public place. The characteristics of Hypnosis are deep concentration and great relaxation. Hypnosis has a strange reputation. Freud, the father of repression, earlier used to practice hypnosis in therapy; he then stopped the use of hypnosis.

However, hypnosis is still popular. And it is safe.

The Hypnosis can be useful in addictions, pain relief, weight control, fear, quit smoking. However, the success of hypnosis depends greatly on acceptance of subject.

Under the effect of Hypnosis, the subject gets accessibility to his unconscious and subconscious mind, repressed memories even past life memories. There are lots of misconceptions regarding Hypnosis. It is considers as ‘Black Magic’ by some people. Science simply does not accept it. But Hypnosis exists.

What is Hypnosis?

It is a method that allows you to use your own inner power and hidden capabilities (the capabilities that you even don’t believe you possess). And:

• It can help you in getting freedom from phobias or anxieties.
• It can help you get rid of bad habits like eating unhealthy, smoking etc.

What Hypnosis is not?

• It is not possible even by any expert to take control of your mind using Hypnosis. Your permission- acceptance is a must.
• Hypnosis can not make you tell secrets.
• Hypnosis is not dangerous.
• It is not ‘Black-Magic’ or any magic!

You can relate Hypnosis with trance, dream. You can be in trance unconsciously. You can be in a trance while just lying on the bed or while traveling through familiar route while reading a book while seeing the movie. Hypnosis is similar trance so you need not fear of same. It brings you great relaxation.

Hypnosis can be used for:

1. Pin control
2. Weight control
3. Healthy eating
4. Helping you stop smoking or other habits
5. Overcoming phobias & anxieties
6. Suppressing pain during medical procedures
7. And more…

Hypnosis comes to your help in case some normal point of view or logical thinking becomes a barrier in solving any problem of yours. It frees you from problems you want to while in a conscious or subconscious state. Refer to this brief overview of Hypnosis for help to improve the quality of your life and the lives of your family, friends, and others.

Frequently asked questions about SELF HYPNOSIS and their answers

Is it true that you can find out more about yourself when you do self-hypnosis?
Yes. Because you will be dealing with the subconscious, you may discover some facts about yourself that you may not know before. This is not some mystical fact or some unconscious secret. For the most part, you will become enlightened on the things that yo sometimes hide from yourself. You will even realize hidden motivations and repressed feelings that in some ways can help you become a better person.

Is it safe?
When in the hands of professional hypnotists, it is. The problem is with most reports is the fact that they blame the procedure when it is the individual's fault. News of hypnosis sessions going awry is not the fault of hypnosis as a science but amateur and fake hypnotists. That is why it is important to research the background of hypnotists first before a person even makes an appointment. Remember that this person will have control of your mind for while. If that is not reason enough to really make sure they're legitimate, I don't know what is.

Can self-hypnosis make a person highly suggestible and easily influenced in real life?
Yes to the first question and no to the next. Regular practice of self-hypnosis can improve a person's response to hypnosis. Sessions will be easier and faster and they will be able to make the most out of their self-hypnosis procedures. You will however be only highly suggestible during your own self-hypnosis sessions. This is because your brain has gotten used to it but if you hypnotize yourself for a completely different thing, it will be back to square one. This is also not something that will spill over your daily grind. People will not become easily influenced just because they practice self-hypnosis. Besides the better that you understand how "suggestions" work, the more you will be know how to resist other people's subtle attempts at manipulating you.

Some of the most common things that people use self-hypnosis for is changing an existing mindset and personality. A person for instance who easily angers can learn to be patient through self-hypnosis. The same goes with a person who cannot stop talking or gossiping. Students have also used self-hypnosis to improve their grades and enhance learning. Hypnosis is after all can improve one's memory and level of concentration. There are some who have claimed that it also works wonders with relieving pain in the body. Hypnosis can make a person forget about the pain or not feel the pain at all. Although only a few cases of addiction have been associated with self-hypnosis, it has been linked to smoking cessation. Reports however on its effectiveness are still mixed and there is still a need for new data.

Can it improve sports performance? If yes, can it strengthen a person?
Some people have also claimed to using self-hypnosis to improve their performance in sports. This however does not make a person stronger. It cannot affect or change a person's physical make-up. However the change in the performance may be brought on by an improved level of concentration as well as a more fearless attitude. Fear can sometimes make us hesitate even when we are already doing what comes naturally to us.

Managing stress through SELF HYPNOSIS

The stress levels of people now are much higher compared before. This is one of the reasons why more and more of them are finding ways to manage stress so as not to affect their overall health. One of the ways that people--especially those that have super stressful jobs--prefer is self hypnosis. This is because the practice can help them relieve and manage stress the most natural means possible.

Why use self hypnosis?

When the word "hypnosis" is mentioned, many people are hesitant to try it because of the common misconception that it can manipulate one to do things beyond his or her wishes. Not many of them realize that this is not always the case. If truth to be told, hypnosis--through self hypnosis--can be one of the best therapeutic tools that a person can use. This is because people can use this in overcoming their fears. It will also be able to help them in withstanding pain and manage varying levels of stress that they experience in their lives.

Nowadays, the horror of hypnosis is being changed because of the rise in awareness in its seemingly endless possibilities by using it in a therapeutic way. In fact, more and more establishments now are quite open to give hypnosis services to people. This is to prove that hypnosis can be a good thing if it is practiced or conducted by a licensed or a professional hypnotist. It is good to take note the are various types of hypnotists. In the industry of hypnosis, types of hypnotists include showroom hypnotists that usually work in bars and clubs and whose subjects are those people whose idea of good time by joining hundreds of people in places where alcohol is used as a social lubricant and clinical hypnotists, on the other hand, are those who deal with people that have problems and those who consider hypnotherapy as a means of relieving pain and overcoming addiction, fear and confusion.

But, if you still don't have enough trust to other people in hypnotizing you because they might cause you to do something without your consent or proper awareness, it is best to conduct self hypnosis. This is because you are quite sure that nobody would try to hurt you or make fun of you since you will be conducting it yourself. Aside from ensuring that you are safe, you will also be able to save lots of time and some money since you won't have to travel all the way to a certain clinic and pay for the services of the hypnotist. All you have to do is do some research and you will learn how to use your own voice during the process.

Self hypnosis as a stress buster

Many people are finding it best to use self hypnosis as a stress buster because it does not really require so much time, money or effort. In fact, many people would agree that self hypnosis can be one of the easiest means of relieving stress by means of being in a relaxed state where you can directly address the tensions that you feel and somehow trigger your body's response to relaxation. This is helpful to be able to avoid chronic stress that may lead to many health problems. It can also help you achieve a healthier life because it can lead you to develop good habits that can veer you away from activities that have harmful effects not only to your physical body but to your emotional state as well.

How HYPNOSIS Can Help Eliminate Snoring

Snoring can bring misery to snorers and their non snoring partners. In fact it is a factor frequently cited in divorce proceedings as the lack of sleep, particularly for the non snoring partner, can cause frustration and irritability, inevitably leading to arguments. However, there are solutions available, both for the snorer and the non snoring partner.

Maybe just a quick nap...
Most solutions require some sort of physical intervention, chin straps or nasal dilators for example. These can be quite effective for many people, but they can also be very uncomfortable to wear and many people find it difficult to get to sleep wearing them. There is also medication you can take, but many of these are based on caffeine, which of course can interfere with your sleep pattern. An alternative and highly effective solution, which works not just for the snorer but for the non snoring partner, is hypnosis.

So, how can hypnosis help the snorer? Well, first of all let us think about how snoring is caused. During the day the muscles in our airways are taut keeping the airways open and ensuring that there are no obstructions. When we are asleep these muscles relax meaning that the airway becomes smaller. For some people the airways become sufficiently small so as to cause an obstruction. The result of this is that when the air hits the back of the throat the soft tissues vibrate causing the distinctive snoring sound.

What hypnosis can do is to re-train the snorer to tighten up these muscles while they are asleep and thereby increase the size of the airway. The net result of this increase in size of airway is that snoring is reduced or, as is often the case, completely eliminated. You should not expect instant results, however. It takes some time for the muscles to become re-trained in this way.

Hypnosis can also help the non snoring partner. The sound of snoring is particularly irritating because it is not constant, but more often intermittent. Therefore, often more disturbance is caused by the anticipation of the snore as much as the snoring itself. How hypnosis works for the non snorer is that it trains them to filter out the noise of the snoring. This does not mean that they stop hearing it, but more that it stops being something that they focus on when they are trying to sleep. It is not instant of course, but with time non snoring partners should be able to ignore the sound enough to get a good night's sleep.

Hypnosis can be administered by a trained hypnotherapist or self-administered. Alternatively, there are CDs and MP3 downloads available which can be just as effective.

Can HYPNOSIS Help You Gain Control of ANXIETY?

Hypnosis at Schrenck-Notzing's

Stress - Physically and emotionally our bodies change to adapt to our surrounding environment. These changes may not always be positive and result in health problems such as headaches, upset stomach, rashes, insomnia, ulcers, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

Adjusting to stress in a positive way is essential for emotional and physical well being. How we deal with such issues as the death of a loved one, the birth of a child, a job promotion or loss of a job, a new or ending relationship will be very important to maintain health.

No one sets out to make his or her life stressful, so chances are you aren't aware of how you put yourself under stress. No situation creates stress by itself, it is how you think about the situation that makes it stressful... in other words your own perception makes it stressful.

But there are several ways to get your stress in check. Meditation, Yoga, Counseling, Aroma therapy, Medication or herbal supplements. All are effective. But today we want to bring to light home hypnosis. A self hypnosis audio session will guide you through exercises that help you learn how to adapt to stressful situations, resolve existing anxieties, and create new ways of looking at the world.

Self Hypnosis can effectively help you deal appropriately with the stress that causes you anxiety. A heightened state of focused concentration that helps your mind accept helpful ideas that enable you to adapt to change in a positive way, help you relax and increase your tolerance to frustration during difficult circumstances.

It is important to keep in mind that hypnosis can offer major benefits to some patients with some problems, and it is helpful with many other patients. But it can fail, just like any other clinical method. Your eagerness to succeed is essential.

Are There Any Medical Benefits From HYPNOSIS?

This is the logo of the British Society of Cli...

Wikipedia)
We've examined the benefits of hypnosis as a tool for self improvement. How we can attach it to the Law of Attraction and make the acquisition of our desires even more powerful. But there's another facet we haven't yet examined, and that's in the field of medicine.

Here, too, we find enormous benefits may be obtained. Among the many medical conditions for which it's used are the following.

Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Hypertension, General Pain Relief, Panic and Anxiety Disorders, Asthma, Insomnia, Enuresis and Diabetes II. There are many others, but even this short list gives you some idea of the vast scope of its usage.

Fibromyalgia is a singularly nasty disease. You hurt all over, feel physically exhausted, have widespread pain in your muscles, ligaments and tendons as well as multiple points on your body which are tender, or hurt at the touch.

Until fairly recently, if you went to the doctor, you'd be told that he or she could find nothing wrong with you. This, in turn, proved terribly distressing. Of course something was wrong with you. Why in the world couldn't they see it?

It occurs in about 2% of the population of this country, and is far more prevalent in women than in men. It was found that when sufferers of this disease were put on a 12 week course of hypnotherapy, they showed infinitely better abilities with pain management, waking fatigue, sleep patterns and overall health than those receiving physical therapy alone. This from the Journal of Rheumatology.

The British Journal of Medicine reported similarly optimistic results with those suffering from Asthma. A six year period showed that 173 patients suffering from Asthma were taught to use self-hypnosis. Of these, 82% were either much improved, or enjoyed total remission.

Enuresis results were, apparently, even better. This is a condition where you suffer an incontinence of urine.

Research is being undertaken by Elvira V. Lang, MD and Naomi M Halsey into the benefits of hypnosis for patients receiving invasive medical procedures. As can well be imagined, they are often under considerable distress during these times.

Therefore, they're being trained in the techniques of self-hypnosis. Their main area of study is in those patients undergoing fibroid, renal and hepatic tumor removal. It seems that their results show that these patients are displaying considerably less psychological and physical distress and will learn coping skills that will help them in the future.

Have you ever felt 'sick and tired?' Then think how invigorating it must be when, under a trance, this feeling departs from you. A few more sessions and no more 'sick and tired' feelings.

A step up from there, and patients are taught how to release endorphins or serotonin into their systems, thereby learning to control their own minds.

These, then, are just a few of the ways hypnosis is assisting in curative medicine. From being an obscure music hall trick a century ago, it now appears it's at the forefront of science.

Then again, we've all heard of instances where the mind has had a direct bearing on healing. This, too, was considered rubbish by the scientific community and not too long ago, either.

Now, the more that people understand hypnosis, the longer grows the list of benefits.

Hypnotic Sleeping - HYPNOSIS is Not Sleep

There are many myths that people have around hypnosis. The myth even makes hypnosis renowned. Many people think that hypnosis is an all - powerful force that control mind of other people, is capable of communicating with the dead person, is capable of watching destiny, and other unbelievable things for ordinary people. As a hypnotist you should have correct understanding on hypnosis. You should know what hypnosis is and is not. This article will explain that hypnosis is not sleep.

Hypnotic seance

Hypnosis has long been associated with sleep. Hypnotists get difficulty to elaborate that a subject under hypnosis is not sleeping. The myth might not be revealed till the end of the day because what people see on stage shows that the person is in a sleeping condition. A subject under hypnosis usually closes his eyes and seems to pays no attention to his environment.

Hypnosis is actually closer to the waking state than ordinary sleep. In fact, a subject under hypnosis tends to be more aware of things going on around him. The subject is more aware of the sound of the hypnotist, especially. He is also more aware of the feeling and sensation.

Hypnotic sleeping differs from ordinary sleeping. In ordinary sleeping we are not aware almost the night long. We are totally unconscious. Our mind, as if, disappears somewhere during the nighttime and returns back the next morning. It is possible some of us still remember part of our dream, but the most part there is clear distinction between hypnotic sleeping and ordinary sleeping. Hypnotic sleeping enables the subject under hypnosis to respond to suggestions given by a hypnotist while ordinary sleeping prevents the subject from communicating with his surrounding.

Sleeping in hypnosis has many connotations. For the subject, sleep puts the hypnotic experience into a familiar context. For the audience, sleep helps explain the phenomena they are observing on stage. And finally, for the operator, the association of sleep provides a framework for his hypnotic presentation.

HYPNOSIS, a part of life

Hypnosis has been used for thousands of years in almost all cultures of the world. The technique was invented mostly for healing purposes, but, over time, it changed and evolved towards something better. Not even the very popular magnetic eyes and the trick with the pendulum are used anymore. The one hundred-year-old way of trance induction has been replaced by more effective and applicable techniques of hypnosis.

English: hypnosis group rehermann
Hypnosis Group Rehermann (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Weather you believe it or not, hypnosis is used almost everyday on you and perhaps by you without even being aware of it. The once called “art” of hypnosis is now available for anyone to learn and it is 100% effective. There are hundreds of ways to perform hypnosis. Just think of commercials and cinema, of loosing weight, of releasing stress, of quitting smoking, of increasing self-esteem, of getting good grades or a job, of eliminating bad thoughts and obsessions from your life.

Hypnosis can be therapeutic or it can be a way of life. You can either choose a professional to guide you or you can train yourself. Either way hypnosis doesn’t induce the well known from movies trance. The person under hypnosis is always conscious and in control of everything.

Hypnosis can help people reach their goals, just like manipulation. Because the human mind can be divided in the subconscious part and conscious part, and because each is different in functions, it means there are more ways of working with your brain. Hypnosis uses the subconscious, because, unlike the conscious, which directs an activity, it controls it. The unconscious psychical aspects, which don’t require involvement or control, can be dealt with through hypnosis.

Its popularity is increasing daily because of the major changes that can be done with it easily and quickly. Academic applications of hypnosis like: the apprehension of communication skills, memory development and removal of mental blocks, the elimination of stage fright and class participation fear can be very useful for children, but for grown-ups as well. Hypnosis is great for those who need to enhance their motivation and improve their performances by overcoming their fears of public speech, of tests, of failure. Sometimes, the hypnosis helps you uncover the real mental problem and fix it.

The therapeutic effects of hypnosis are most appreciated by persons with addictions, emotional and stress disorders obsessions and habits. Without help the persons who suffer because of these problems don’t stand chance. Most know the torment of the desire or drive to commit the habit. Smoking, drinking and the unusual addictions to working or watching TV can be
cured with hypnosis by changing the subconscious motivation. For some, quitting is easy, but for others it can be difficult no matter what method they use. However, hypnosis makes the process easier because it goes to the ruts of the problem.

Interpersonal relationships are influenced by human behavior. In both carrier and romance the way we act and what we say is of high importance. The subliminal and supraliminal language is decisive in how you want people to see you. It is possible, with the help of hypnosis, to induce a certain image of yourself to those around you, but, because we can not be sure how others think and how much we can control their actions, hypnosis can change your image of yourself. This might even be better. After all, the most important is what you think of yourself. This way, through hypnosis, you will change yourself and the subliminal messages sent to others “controlling” them.

In conclusion, if hypnosis isn’t in your life already, it should be. The benefits can be huge and the amazing thing is that it helps you help yourself. It doesn’t matter what age you are, what you work or how many issues you have to solve, hypnosis is the healthiest therapy, guaranteed to give results.
